Suicide Soldiers
(Available IN PRINT HERE!)
We're suicide soldiers who die alone
We lived through the war, now we die at home
We're suicide soldiers who loved this land
No we die at our own hand
We're suicide soldiers who beat the odds
We dial alone without our squads
We're suicide soldiers who die all alone
Totally frustrated, totally alone
We're suicide soldiers who look forward to death
So we can find peace, so we can find rest
We're suicide soldiers who gave a damn
Now we can't get a helping hand
We're suicide soldiers who look for trust
But the VA is so full of mistrust
We're suicide soldiers who came home from hell
To an eternal war, purer than hell
We're suicide soldiers who are misunderstood
America doesn't care but America should
We're suicide soldiers who would rather die
Than face all this pain and all of the lies
We're suicide soldiers who will not beg
For the benefits we earned losing arms and legs
We're suicide soldiers who were driven insane
Fighting a war many thought was in vain
We're suicide soldiers who would rather die
Than take your garbage and wipe spit from our eye
We're suicide soldiers, we run and hide
Waiting for death, for the other side
We're suicide soldiers who swallow the pain
Try one day in that heat and rain
We're suicide soldiers that have faced death
When it finally comes, maybe heaven will bless
Dear suicide soldiers, please don't die
Try and get help, try and get by
