The Vietnam Psalm
(Available IN PRINT HERE!)
The Vietnam War is my nightmare
Thou shall not want another
It maketh me stay awake all night
It depresseth me all day
It stealeth my soul
It leadeth me down the path of suicide
It maketh me take thy Lord's name in vain
Yeah, when I walked through the Valley of Death
I feareth everything, nothing worse known to mankind
My machine gun and my buddies comforted me
Thou prepareth a meal before me "ham and mothers"
In the shadows lurketh mine enemies
Thou annointeth my head with mosquito spray
Surely this evil and madness will follow me
All the days and nights of my life
I shall dwell in my house, in my basement, with my machine gun
In fear of and with the nightmare of the Vietnam War, forever
